Title

Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Application No. Z0318-0026, submitted by Joe Hicks on behalf of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, to rezone property from Planned Development - Single-Family to Planned Development - Office to allow the property to be developed with an accounting office located at 819 North Town East Boulevard.

Body

The property is developed with a church. However, the church has excess property that they will not need in the future. Therefore, they are proposing to sell the western portion of the property to a church member so that she can construct a 3,000-square-foot accounting office. The entire parcel, including the existing church is included in the rezoning.

 

On March 26, 2018, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve Application No. Z0318-0026, to rezone the property to Planned Development - Office.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

After the public hearing, staff recommends approval of the proposed ordinance.
