Bid documents were broadcast to vendors through BidSync electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website, and an Advertisement for Bid notice was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. A total of ten bids were received.

 

Houston Poly Bag 1 Ltd. submitted the lowest bid in the amount of $250,500.00. In addition, the provided samples allow for adequate logo placement and sufficient bar code inserts for each roll of bags.  The term of this contract is for a one-year period with two additional one-year renewal options.

The retail price, including tax, will remain the same for both bags at $9.25 per roll.

 

Financial Implications

Funding is available in the fiscal year 2017-18 annual Warehouse Division budget. Departments purchase garbage can liners  as needed through the Warehouse inventory system.
