Title
Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Application No. Z0318-0029, submitted by Brian Lingle of Lingle Engineers, for a change of zoning from Agriculture to Planned Development-General Retail, located at 3401 McKenzie Road.
(One response in favor and two responses in opposition to the application have been received from property owners within the statutory notification area. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval of the application with certain stipulations.)
Body
The applicant would like to rezone the property to an appropriate commercial zoning classification in order to make it more marketable. Staff suggested Planned Development-General Retail (PD-GR) as the most appropriate zoning non-residential zoning for the location. At this time, the applicant has not identified a specific use for the property.
On April 23, 2018, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve Application No. Z0318-0029, for a rezoning from Agriculture to Planned Development-General Retail.
Recommended/Desired Action
After the public hearing, staff recommends approval of the proposed ordinance.
