Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program staff has requested and received applications from public service agencies (non-profit organizations and City departments) for use of funds available in the 2018-2019 fiscal year (program year [PY] 2018). Attached is a list of all requests received and program summaries for each request. Council discussion and questions of staff can be addressed during the Pre-Meeting of the June 4, 2018, Council meeting.

The following are estimated key dates in the funding approval process:
• June 18, 2018 - City Council Public Hearing
• June 25-July 25, 2018 - 30 Day Comment Period
• August 6, 2018 - Final City Council Public Hearing and Approval
CDBG EXPENDITURE GUIDELINES
• CDBG Administration and Planning activities are capped at 20 percent of the grant, which is $219,973
• Public Service activities are capped at 15 percent of the grant, which is $164,980
• A total of $714,912 is available for other projects if Administration, Planning and Public Service activities are funded at their caps.
PROGRAM YEAR 2018-19 REQUESTS
Seven non-profit agencies and four City departments requested funding for eligible projects from the FY 2018-2019 CDBG entitlement allocation.
