A resolution adopting the Annual Plan for the Housing Choice Voucher Program.

The Annual Plan is required by the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). The purpose of the Annual Plan is to provide an easily identifiable source where the public and program participants can locate basic program policies, rules and requirements concerning the City of Mesquite’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, operations and services.
As required, a Public Notice was published on June 7, 2018, in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper for a comment period for the Annual Plan. The Annual Plan has been posted on the City of Mesquite’s Housing Division web page and is available for public viewing in the Community Services Building lobby. Additionally, the Housing Board members were provided with a copy of the Annual Plan. The timeframe for public comment will end on July 13, 2018.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of a resolution adopting the Annual Plan for the HCV Program.
