Approve Amendment No. 5 to the 2017-18 Police Seizure Budget in accordance with Title 28, Section 524 of the United States Code and Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure in the amount of $142,000.00.

Pursuant to Title 28, Section 524 of the United States Code and Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, the City of Mesquite has adopted a budget to account for funds awarded as a result of court forfeitures and contraband, and expenditures from these proceeds may only be used for law enforcement purposes in accordance with federal and state regulations. The fiscal year 2017-18 Confiscated Seizure Fund Budget is amended to include expenditures of the following items:
Applicant Physical Agility Testing $57,500
Unmarked Police Car Emergency Lighting 22,500
Mobile License Plate Reader System 20,000
Bosch CDR 900 Upgrade Kit 4,000
Dispatch Staff and Schedule Analysis 35,000
Ice Machine in Jail Facility 3,000
$142,000
