Consider appointment of one regular member to the Board of Adjustment for a term to expire January 1, 2019, and one alternate member for a term to expire January 1, 2020, who will also serve on the Automated Traffic Signal Enforcement Advisory Committee, and two reserve alternate members for terms to expire January 1, 2019, and January 1, 2020.
Body
The Board of Adjustment (BOA) is charged with the responsibility of hearing requests for variances, special exceptions, determinations regarding nonconforming uses and appeals from staff interpretations of the Zoning Ordinance. The Board members, with the exception of the reserve alternate members, serve concurrently as members of the Automated Traffic Signal Enforcement Advisory Committee (ATSEAC), which advises the Council on matters pertaining to the placement of red light cameras.
Wes McClure has resigned from the Board as a regular member due to a conflict of interest.

Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends changing the appointment of George Rice from alternate member to regular member for a term to expire January 1, 2019, and appoint Shannon Tucker and Tom Palmer as alternate members for terms to expire January 1, 2019, and January 1, 2020, respectively, who will also serve on the ATSEAC.
