An amendment to the City Charter was passed by majority vote of the qualified voters of the City of Mesquite in an election held on May 5, 2018, canvassed and adopted by Resolution No. 28-2018 on May 15, 2018, and further ratified and approved by the City Council on May 21, 2018, through Ordinance No. 4563. One of the amendments is to transition the City to single-member districts.
The attached resolution details the 2018 districting process.
