Presentation to Special Olympic athletes from Mesquite.

The local group of Special Olympics of Texas is Team Mesquite. The City of Mesquite supports Team Mesquite through access to Parks and Recreation programs and facilities. Two athletes from Team Mesquite were chosen to compete at the national Special Olympics USA Games held in Seattle, Washington, from July 1, 2018 - July 6, 2018.
Herbert Ellis earned a Gold Medal in Bocce Ball and Matthew Hernandez earned a Silver Medal in Stand-Up Paddle Board.
The City Council will recognize these athletes for their outstanding accomplishments.
