An ordinance amending the City Code for fees collected by the City of Mesquite for Fiscal Year 2018-19.

The City of Mesquite conducted a city-wide fee review in which each department analyzed fees within their operations and determined if current fees needed to be adjusted for Fiscal Year 2018-19. These changes were briefed to the City Council during the September 17, 2018, Pre-Meeting. The attached ordinance identifies the fees that are proposed to change with reference to the appropriate sections of the City Code or ordinance. Each proposed fee change will go into effect November 1, 2018, or January 1, 2019, as appropriate for each department’s operations. The effective date is noted in the ordinance along with the schedule of fee changes.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
