Title
Authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute a Supplemental Agreement to RFQ No. 2018-077, Neighborhood Stabilization Program New Home Construction: Engineering Services, with Metropolitan Infrastructure, PLLC, for additional engineering and design services, in the amount of $17,900.00.
Body
The City has owned 1701 Orchid Avenue and 1030 Lindo Drive, under the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, for the past eight years. The original structures were demolished due to severe dilapidation and the Mesquite Housing and Community Services Department proposes to build a new home on each vacant lot.
On July 17, 2018, the City entered into a contract, RFQ No. 2018-077 - Neighborhood Stabilization Program New Home Construction: Engineering Services, with Metropolitan Infrastructure, PLLC, in the amount of $32,300.00. The scope of services included architectural and civil engineering plans for two identical houses. However, after the contract was executed, it was discovered that each home requires additional design services due to the size and orientation of the lots. Therefore, this supplemental agreement is requested for additional engineering and design services.
Financial Implications
This contract will be funded by the NSP grant.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to execute the Supplemental Agreement.
