Approve Amendment No. 1 to the 2018-19 Police State Seizure Budget in accordance with Title 28, Section 524 of the United States Code and Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure in the amount of $347,720.00.

Pursuant to Title 28, Section 524 of the United States Code and Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, the City of Mesquite has adopted a budget to account for funds awarded as a result of court forfeitures and contraband, and expenditures from these proceeds may only be used for law enforcement purposes in accordance with federal and state regulations. The Fiscal Year (FY) 2018-19 Confiscated Seizure Fund Budget is amended to include expenditures of the following items:
Ballistic Vests $22,320
Winter Jackets $110,000
Covert Surveillance System $10,000
Two unmarked police vehicles $47,400
Police Bikes $33,000
Lead Removal $25,000
Public Safety Professional Vehicle $40,000
Forensic Computer Lab Equipment $60,000
