Bid documents were broadcasted to vendors through the BidSync electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website. An Advertisement for Bid notice was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. A total of 10 bids were received.
There are five groups in this bid with a total of 85 items. This bid had the option of being awarded item by item, group by group or on an all or none basis. The department, while evaluating the bid responses, took each pricing into consideration. There were some items where the bid came in with lower pricing; however, these items either did not meet specifications or verification of specification could not be determined. Security Safety and Supply is our previously awarded vendor and has given excellent service when providing these goods. The term of this contract is for a one-year period with four additional one-year renewal options. The award amount of $69,672.40 is a 2.5 percent per year increase compared to the previous bid award.
