Title
A resolution authorizing the sale of two tax-foreclosed properties located at 3821 East Cartwright Road and 2908 Independence Drive in Mesquite, Texas; accepting the offers from the purchasers to purchase the properties; ratifying and approving the Offer and Purchase Agreements executed by the purchasers setting forth the terms and conditions of the sale of the properties; and authorizing the City Manager to execute quitclaim deeds and all other documents necessary or requested to complete the closings and sales of the properties.

A list of tax-foreclosure properties available for sale was listed on the City’s website. The City received an offer of $12,250.00 on vacant property located at 3821 East Cartwright Road and an offer of $105,000.00 on a property with a structure located at 2908 Independence Drive.
Both offers fell under Tax Code §34.05(h) where the purchaser is required to pay the post-judgment taxes, penalties and interest to the taxing entities, but it does not require the consent of the taxing entities.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends Council approval of the resolution.
