This contract will provide localized concrete repair for street pavement, sidewalks, curb and gutters and curb ramps to support street rehabilitation on streets selected for repair within the Real. Texas. Roads. Street bond program. Miscellaneous concrete repair is the second step, following pavement lifting, in completing the repair work on the streets identified in the street bond program.
Bid notices were broadcast through the BidSync electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website and an Advertisement for Bid was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. A total of two responsive bids were received. Construction should begin early 2019 with the contract duration of one calendar year from the notice to proceed date. The contract is for a one-year period with two additional one-year renewal options. Staff has previously worked with the low bidder, B&B Concrete and Sawing, Inc., on other projects, reviewed other qualification information submitted and recommends award of the base bid to B&B Concrete and Sawing, Inc.

Funding has been allocated for this project from Street Bond funds.
