This bid is for the annual preventive maintenance and repair of fire apparatus. This program will have the Fire Department heavy apparatus fleet serviced and maintained on a 300-hour, 3,000-mile or 6-month interval by certified Emergency Vehicle Technicians. During the preventive maintenance cycle, end of life components and failing parts will be identified and repaired/replaced as needed.

Bid documents were broadcast to vendors through the BidSync electronic bidding system, posted on the City's website and an Advertisement for Bid notice was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. Three bid responses were received. Proposals were scored by a selection committee using the Best Value criteria, evaluating bidders based on price, reputation, quality of work and ability to meet the needs of the City. Lone Star Emergency Group meets or exceeds the specifications of the bid. Lone Star Emergency Group was the highest scoring bidder and is the current vendor (previous vendor name of REV RTC, Inc.,) for fire department heavy apparatus fleet maintenance.
