A resolution adopting a Disaster Finance Policy and Procedures for the City of Mesquite.

The City Finance Department is proposing to formalize certain financial policies of the City in order to strengthen financial operations and obtain City Council approval of each policy.
This policy is intended to establish policies and procedures to improve the City’s preparedness and coordination to ensure economic stability after a disaster. Like any other municipality, the City of Mesquite could be at risk from a number of hazards, which could require extraordinary response by local government and have the potential for causing extensive property damage.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the resolution.
