This project will replace aging water and sewer lines on Oriole Street, Ervin Lane and on Lilac Lane, Daffodil Drive, Carnation Drive and Rose Lane in the Valley View Heights neighborhood. The project will utilize a method of pipe bursting to replace the waterlines and sewer lines in the area. The waterline along Ervin Lane will be open cut installed. The pipe bursting method will involve pulling the new utility lines through the old utility lines and will provide minimum disruption to roads, driveways and lawns.

 

Bid notices were broadcast through the BidSync electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website and an Advertisement for Bid was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. A total of four responsive bids were received. Construction should begin Spring 2019. City staff has reviewed references and other qualification information submitted by the low bidder and recommends award of the base bid to Douglas Dailey Construction, LLC.

 

Financial Implications

Funding for this contract is budgeted under the Water and Sewer Main Replacement Programs and funded through Water and Sewer Revenue funds.
