The Mesquite Pubic Library System has been awarded the 2018 Texas Achievement in Library Excellence Award by the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association.
Libraries awarded this honor were required to meet a high level of performance in programming, events and services. This year, only 51 libraries out of 548 Texas public libraries earned this recognition. This is affirmation that the City of Mesquite’s library services ranks in the top 10 percent of public libraries in the entire state of Texas.
