Mr. Don Williams, 1525 Sessom Drive, presented a petition to staff requesting the installation of speed bumps in the alley between Cordia Drive and Crawford Drive, located between Sessom Drive and Duncan Drive. In accordance with Resolution No. 3-70, which requires a minimum of 75 percent of affected property owners to sign the petition prior to being presented to the City Council, 11 of the 12 households (91.7 percent) have signed in favor of the petition. One remaining household was notified by letter of the proposed alley speed bump installation and given an opportunity to express their support or opposition. Staff has not received any response from the remaining household. Staff proposes two sets of speed bumps be installed in the alley as shown in the attached map.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the request.
