An ordinance amending Chapter 7 of the City Code thereby updating Residential Landlord and Tenant Regulations.
Body
City Code Chapter 7, Article III, regulates the responsibilities of tenants and landlords related to leased residential properties in Mesquite. The regulations relate to maintenance and repair of leased multifamily property. The proposed amendments strengthen and broaden specific maintenance requirements, as well as, enforcement and notification requirements. This item was briefed at the February 18, 2019 City Council meeting.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
