In celebration of the April 2 National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day, Shelby Gruenberg of Genghis Grill will announce the results of their recent Spread the Love campaign fundraiser by presenting a check in the amount of $1,150.00 to Mesquite Social Services and Sharing Life Community Outreach. This donation will kick-off the annual Spread the Love program, which helps feed children in food insecure homes during the summer months.
On February 20, 2019, the newly remodeled Genghis Grill, located at 1765 North Town East Boulevard, pledged to donate 20 percent of the day’s sales to the City of Mesquite’s Spread the Love program. This donation will be equally divided to support the food pantries of Mesquite Social Services and Sharing Life Community Outreach.
Additionally, patrons of Genghis Grill generously donated $246.00 in cash donations during the campaign fundraiser. These donations have already been equally distributed between the two food pantries, bringing the total amount raised by the fundraiser to almost $1,400.00.
