City Council approved the utilization of online auctions, for a commission of 7.5 percent of gross sales on February 19, 2018.  Approval of this item authorizes the first of the two renewal options. In addition, this amendment will authorize the City Manager to exercise Renewal Option No. 2 in year three of the contract, subject to annual appropriation of sufficient funds.

 

Financial Implications

Funding will be received from gross sales at a commission of 7.5 percent for online auctions of disposal of surplus and confiscated property.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends approval of Renewal Option No. 1 to Rene’ Bates Auctioneers, Inc and authorize the City Manager to exercise Renewal Option No. 2 in year three of the contract, subject of annual appropriation of sufficient funds.
