Bid documents were broadcast to vendors through BidSync electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website and an Advertisement for Bid notice was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. A total of five bids were received. Staff evaluated the bid on a “Best Value” method based on the following criteria: price, stock, past relationship and reference/experience. Town East Ford was recommended for award.
Ford OEM parts are stocked as inventory in the City’s automotive warehouse. This bid will establish a dealer’s cost plus percentage received for all Ford OEM catalog parts. Town East Ford is offering pricing at the dealer’s cost.
The term of this contract is for a one-year period with four additional one-year renewal options, subject to annual appropriation of sufficient funds.
