The purpose of the annual Police Department Meritorious Conduct Awards is to recognize the achievements and outstanding service of members of the Mesquite Police Department and citizens of Mesquite.
The following employees and citizens will be recognized:
• Sergeant H. Kent Tyler Award (Officer of the Year) - Paul Wathen
• Civilian of the Year - James Harrison
• Police Medal of Honor - Scott Jimenez, Brian Hill and Douglas Coyle
• Life Saving Award - Jeffrey Andersen, Matt Gardner, Christopher Odom, Marcus Rodriguez and Bruce Sales
• Certificate of Merit - Drew Chasney, Dustin Chautin, Matthew Hailey, Jonathan Halbert, Matt Heidelberg, Colby Odom, Ellen Onorato and David Phillips
• Citizen’s Certificate of Merit - Elizabeth Minera, Charles Smith, Jacob DeRieux, Stephen Adams, Joseph Garcia-Avina
