Bid documents were broadcast to vendors through BidSync electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website and an Advertisement for Bid notice was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. Two bids were received. Staff evaluated the bid on a “Best Value” method using the following criteria: price, equipment stock and age, past relationship with the City of Mesquite and experience. Two panel members rated each vendor independently.
The apparent best value bidder is DaltexPro Facility Services, with a bid in the amount of $206,825.00. DaltexPro Facility Services is also the current abatement contractor for vacant properties for Environmental Code. The term of this contract is for a one-year period with two additional one-year renewal options, subject to annual appropriation of sufficient funds.
Financial Implications
Costs associated with work completed by the approved vendor will result in a lien on a property, plus administrative and filing fees.
