Receive briefing and provide direction regarding potential exchange of City-owned property with Mesquite Independent School District located at 1717 McKenzie Road and 4200 Faithon P. Lucas, Sr., Boulevard (formerly Mercury Road).

At the Pre-Meeting, City staff will brief the Council on a proposed exchange of 1.502 acres from the Girls’ Softball Complex tract for an equal 1.502 acres from the abutting MISD Choice High School tract to accommodate a detention pond and a one-way driveway exit from the school onto Faithon P. Lucas, Sr., Boulevard, which would better improve the functional safety of school related traffic.

Staff requests Council direction on proposed exchange of City-owned property with MISD.
