Professional Turf Products, LP, is the sole authorized distributor of Toro commercial mowing and large turf irrigation equipment parts for the State of Texas, and handles the full line of Toro mower parts needed for the City.
The City initially allocated $45,000.00 annually for these purchases; however, as of June 1, 2019, the department has expended $43,912.56 based on increase of repairs due to extended use and normal wear and tear of equipment. The request to increase to $65,000.00 was based on the average of $3,750.00 per month for the remaining five months of the contract through to November 13, 2019, which is the expiration date.
Financial Implications
Funding is available in the Fiscal Year 2019-20 annual budget in the Finance/Warehouse. Purchase of the Toro commercial mower parts for the repair of City’s fleet of Toro equipment is facilitated by Warehouse operations through the inventory system.
