Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Application No. Z0119-0083 submitted by City of Mesquite for a Zoning Change to amend Planned Development - Mixed Use Ordinance No. 3967 to allow changes to the uses permitted on property described as being 60.31 +/- acres of land located at 21100 IH 635.

(No responses in favor or in opposition to the application have been received from property owners within the statutory notification area. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval.)

 

Body

Per the existing Development Agreement, this request is to remove multifamily uses from the list of permitted uses found in the existing Planned Development ordinance (Ordinance No. 3967).

 

On June 10, 2019, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7 to 0 to approve Application No. Z0119-0083 for a Zoning Change to amend Planned Development - Mixed Use Ordinance No. 3967 to allow changes to the uses permitted on property described as being 60.31 +/- acres of land situated in the Daniel Tanner Survey, Abstract No. 1426, City of Mesquite, Dallas County, Texas, located at 21100 IH 635.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Following the public hearing, staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
