Conduct a public hearing to receive citizen input on the proposed 2019-20 annual municipal budget.
Body
Although not required by law, the City Council has traditionally held multiple public hearings to allow citizens additional opportunities to comment on the proposed budget. This is the first public hearing to receive citizen input on the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2019-20. A second public hearing will be held on August 19, 2019, and a final public hearing will be held on September 3, 2019, prior to the adoption of the budget in accordance with State law.
The proposed budget has been posted on the City’s website in accordance with State law and citizens also have the opportunity to view the budget at either the City Secretary’s Office or Budget Office.
