This contract will provide localized concrete replacement on Emporium Circle and Childress Avenue. Traffic flow will be maintained in all directions except for intermittent short-term closures during concrete pours.
Bid notices were broadcast through the BidSync electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website and an Advertisement for Bid was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. Bids were opened on July 16, 2019. A total of three responsive bids were received. Construction should begin in September and be complete by mid-November. If work is not complete prior to the start of the Christmas shopping season, construction will be suspended until after the holidays.

Project is funded through the Towne Centre Reinvestment Zone No. Two.
