Title

Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Application No. Z0918-0066, submitted by Alex Ayagh, for a change of zoning from Commercial to Commercial with a Conditional Use Permit to allow the sale of used tires, located at 2532 East US Highway 80.

Body

The applicant owns an auto repair business on the subject property and would like to add used tire sales to his services.

 

There continues to be property maintenance issues on the property. Staff has met with the manager and work has begun to correct the problems. Staff has concerns about adding used tires to the permitted uses on a property that is already a property maintenance problem.

 

On May 13, 2019, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve Application No. Z0918-0066, for a rezoning from Commercial to Commercial with a Conditional Use Permit to allow used tire sales.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

After the public hearing, staff recommends denial.
