In response to the crowded conditions and need for office space at the City Service Center, seven employees from the Utility Division, Water Production staff were relocated to a single office located inside the base of the Town East Elevated Water Tank in 2017. Water Production staff is the technical group responsible for operations and maintenance of the City's three pump stations, four elevated water storage reservoirs, five ground storage reservoirs, five sanitary sewer lift stations and responsible for water quality sample collection and testing, the backflow prevention program and preparing required reports for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

This contract will add three additional offices, a women's restroom and a counter/sink area in the hallway at the Town East Elevated Water Tank. The fire alarm system will also be upgraded to include the new office space. After the completion of this project, the remaining water production staff will be moved to this location for a total of 10 employees sharing four offices at the Town East Elevated Water Tank. In addition, the offices will serve as an emergency backup location for control of the City Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system that monitors and controls the City water pumping and storage system. Construction will begin in September and anticipated to be complete in May 2020.
