This bid includes items contained on the Mesquite Fire Department's (MFD) Quartermaster System. The Quartermaster System provides each member with an annual allowance to purchase uniforms and clothing on an as-needed basis. Galls, LLC, provides a link to a customized, web-based site developed particularly to suit the needs of the MFD. The site allows individual department members to login and track their orders. Only MFD approved items are permitted on the site and each individual's allowance is automatically updated based on their orders. The site allows the Department Administrator to approve individual orders before each is processed. Free shipping is provided for all orders. The secondary vendor, GT Distributors, will be used if Galls cannot meet one or more of the Department's uniform needs.
The quoted pricing is through an Interlocal Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with the City of Frisco Bid No.1905-082 to the primary vendor, Galls, LLC, and secondary vendor, GT Distributors, for Fire Department uniforms; which includes four annual renewal options.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends awarding the contract through August 5, 2020, and authorizing the City Manager to exercise the four one-year renewal options, subject to annual appropriation of sufficient funds.
