Body

The Mesquite Fire Department operates the emergency 911 ambulance response and transport services within the City of Mesquite. An emergency medical services (EMS) provider license issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services is a requirement by the State of Texas to provide these services. Emergency medical services provider licenses are good for a two-year period. The current Mesquite Fire Department EMS provider license expires on November 30, 2019, and a renewal application packet must be completed and submitted prior to that date.

Financial Implications

The EMS provider license fee is $500 plus $180 per transport unit (8) for a total fee of $1,940. Funding is provided in the Fiscal Year 2019-20 Fire Department Budget.
