Body

The Mesquite Independent School District proposes the construction of an additional gymnasium to the existing Wilkinson Middle School property. There is no proposed increase in classrooms or student enrollment for the campus, so there will be no impact on traffic in the area due to this addition.

 

On October 14, 2019, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve Application No. Z0919-0107, for a change of zoning from Residential Single-family to Residential Single-family with a Conditional Use Permit to allow a middle school.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

After the public hearing, staff recommends approval.
