Bid documents were broadcast through the BidSync electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website and advertised in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. The project design included items to renovate the aging ballfield conditions, which include replacing wood pole lights, adding dugout covers, installing a scoreboard and historical features specific to the legacy of the field.
Four responses were received. All proposed prices exceeded the allocated budget for the project which was $360,000.00 for construction.
Staff recommends rejecting the proposals and closing the current solicitation until additional funding is available.
Financial Implications
This project will be funded through the 4B Mesquite Quality of Life Corporation budget.
