Six heavy-duty vehicle lifts, and six heavy-duty support stands were budgeted for new shop equipment in Fiscal Year 2019-2020. The purpose of these lifts are to aid in repairs on the City’s heavy-duty trucks. These portable lifts will increase efficiency by allowing mechanics to access the lifted vehicle from multiple positions. The lifts will also decrease the probability of injuries by not lifting heavy objects while laying down, allowing the use of other equipment and mechanics for assistance and having the ability to be more aware of the shop’s surroundings. This bid includes heavy-support stands.
Financial Implications
The remaining budgeted amount will be used making ready for service.
