Title
Consider appointment of regular members and alternates to the Board of Adjustment (BOA) whereby two regular members (Position No. 3 and No. 5) are appointed with terms expiring on December 31, 2021; and consider appointment of two alternate members to the Board of Adjustment for Alternate No. 1 (expiring December 31, 2021) and Alternate No. 2 (expiring December 31, 2020).
Body
The Board of Adjustment (BOA) is charged with the responsibility of hearing requests for variances, special exceptions and appeals from staff interpretations of the Zoning Ordinance.
Fernando Rojas has reached his term limit and is not eligible for reappointment. Regular member Wana Alwalee and alternate member Jack Akin are eligible for reappointment.
Ordinance No. 4378, approved by the City Council on November 4, 2019, changed the expiration dates for the BOA to December 31, with the terms of any odd-numbered positions expiring in odd-numbered years and any even-numbered positions expiring in even-numbered years. Therefore, the terms for the position numbers have been adjusted.
