An Advertisement for Bid notice was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. Bid documents were also broadcast to vendors through the BidSync electronic bidding system and posted on the City’s website. A total of eight bid responses were received and evaluated for potential award.
This bid provides City departments with various janitorial supplies, such as tissues, towels, hand sanitizers, mops, brooms, and floor and office cleansers. The bid provides award on an item-by-item basis. Bid items not considered for award either had products that did not meet the minimum requirements or had bid responses that were incomplete for evaluation. The term of these awards are for one-year periods with four additional one-year renewal options.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends award to the following low bidders meeting specifications for one year and authorize City Manager to exercise four annual one-year renewal options, subject to annual appropriation of sufficient funds:
