Authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute Amendment No. 4 with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., for additional construction support services for the Front Street Station project in the amount of $25,000.00.

 

Body

City Council approved the design contract for the reconstruction of Front Street from North Ebrite Street to North Galloway Avenue in the amount of $267,000.00 on June 18, 2018, and Amendment No. 1 for design and preparation of construction documents in the amount of $230,000.00 on October 15, 2018. The City Manager approved Amendment No. 2 for survey services in the amount of $10,000.00 on October 26, 2018. City Council approved Amendment No. 3 for additional design services in the amount of $92,000.00 on March 4, 2019.

 

This amendment will provide for additional construction support services. There have been changes and reviews required due to utility conflicts and other unforeseen site conditions. This amendment will allow Kimley-Horn to continue supporting the project through the construction phase.

                     Begin Construction - October 1, 2019

                     Anticipated Construction Completion - January 23, 2021

 

Financial Implications

This project will be funded through Towne Centre Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 2 funds.
