The City of Mesquite has entered into an Interlocal Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with the City of Plano, Texas, for the purchase of various items. The City of Plano awarded Bid No. 2016-95-C to Acme Auto Leasing, Inc., for vehicle leasing program. The City of Plano’s contract is in its third renewal option, with one year remaining.
Financial Implications
The Police Department currently budgets federal seizure funds for lease vehicles as part of the annual budget process. The remainder of Fiscal Year 2019-2020 has sufficient funding and the remaining funding for this item will be included in future budget submissions. The total cost for the contract is the total cost for all six vehicles and all related fees.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends award to Acme Auto Leasing, Inc., and authorize the City Manager to exercise the final remaining one-year renewal option, subject to annual appropriation of sufficient funds.
