Title

Conduct a public hearing and consider possible action regarding a request from Scott Rose on behalf of Locke Supply Co., to substitute the requirement for an eight-foot-tall, long-span precast concrete screening wall for a chain-link fence with vinyl coating and slats on property located at 4401 Samuell Boulevard.

Body

Locke Supply Co. is proposing to locate in a 35,500-square-foot lease space in the Mesquite Business Center. They intend to have an outdoor storage area located on the west side of the building, but visible from Samuell Boulevard. Zoning of the property requires a long-span precast concrete screening wall where the storage area faces a public street. As an alternative, the applicant would like to install a chain-link fence with black vinyl coating and vinyl slats. The storage area would be located approximately 150 feet from Samuell Boulevard.

Following the public hearing, staff recommends approval.
