A resolution adopting revisions to the City of Mesquite Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan, effective August 3, 2020.
Body
As a part of the City of Mesquite Housing Choice Voucher program, the Housing Division maintains and follows an Administrative Plan. This Plan, last updated in October 2019, outlines updates required by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines, along with locally established policies that provide direction to Housing Staff.
The revisions include:
• New language addressing Foster Youth Program vouchers
• Update on felonious criminal activity allowance from ten-year to five-year convictions
• Update for annual inspections to bi-annual inspections for owners that qualify
• New language for minimum standards for refrigerators and stoves/ranges
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the resolution.
