Approve Amendment No. 2 to the Fiscal Year 2019-20 Police Federal Seizure Budget in accordance with Title 28, Section 524 of the United States Code and Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure in the amount of $404,000.00.

Pursuant to Title 28, Section 524 of the United States Code and Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, the City of Mesquite has adopted a budget to account for funds awarded as a result of court forfeitures and contraband, and expenditures from the proceeds may only be used for law enforcement purposes in accordance with federal and state regulations. The Fiscal Year (FY) 2019-20 Confiscated Seizure Fund Budget is amended to include expenditures of the following items:
Police Academy Facility Updates $7,000.00
Window Blinds for Staff Support $8,000.00
Metal Detectors for Jail $11,000.00
Lab fees $60,000.00
PSP Vehicle $50,000.00
Police Range Drainage Updates $38,000.00
Ice and Water Machine $5,000.00
Tactical Headsets $25,000.00
Firearms Simulator $200,000.00
TOTAL $404,000.00
