An ordinance establishing the classifications and total number of authorized positions in each classification of the Mesquite Police Department effective as of October 1, 2020.

 

Body

The City Council reviews and approves the number of civil service positions/ranks in the Mesquite Police Department (MPD).

 

Attached is an ordinance for Council’s consideration in approving the MPD’s authorized positions for Fiscal Year 2020-21. These numbers have been reviewed and confirmed as accurate with the MPD and Budget Department.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
