Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Application No. Z0820-0144, submitted by Rosalinda Guzman on behalf of UTR Homes, LLC, for a change of zoning from Planned Development - General Retail to R-1 Single-Family Residential District to allow a single family home located at 1836 Wilkinson Road.
(No responses in favor or in opposition to the application have been received from property owners within the statutory notification area. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval.)
Body
The subject five-acre parcel was part of a larger tract rezoned to Planned Development - General Retail in 2017 for a grocery store. Subsequently, the store owner chose to not develop the site. A single-family home has remained on the site. The applicant proposes to demolish the existing house and construct a new home on the property.
On August 24, 2020, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve Application No. Z0820-0144, for a rezoning from Planned Development - General Retail to R-1 Single-Family Residential District.
Recommended/Desired Action
Following the public hearing, staff recommends approval.
