Consider appointment of three regular members and one alternate member to the Building Standards Board for terms to expire January 1, 2023, and one alternate member for a term to expire January 1, 2022.
Body
The terms of three regular members of the Building Standards Board (BSB) expire on January 1, 2021. One of these positions is currently vacant and is required to be filled by a mechanical contractor. Both regular members and the alternate member have agreed to continue to serve and are eligible for reappointment. One alternate member position expiring on January 1, 2022, has remained vacant for some time and must be filled by a Master Plumber.
The BSB is charged with responsibility for hearing condemnation cases, appeals from decisions of the Building Official and reviewing changes to the City’s model building codes.
