With the recent sale of the property in Balch Springs, the City will need to expend the funds from the sale within a two-year period. The funds can only be used on capital improvement projects in parks. This is due to the designation of the property in Balch Springs as a park when the City first acquired it.
Staff has developed a proposed list of projects for consideration and desires Council direction so planning and construction can begin in the current calendar year.
