This Professional Services contract will provide the required consultant services to design the initial phases of a 21-acre park on City property located at Mesquite Valley Road and Creek Crossing Road. A master plan for the park includes frequently requested amenities such as a large dog park and the City’s first sprayground facility. Also planned in the design is a parking lot, large playground, picnic pavilion and restrooms. Future phases of the project will include constructing nature trails that utilize the floodplain portion of the property. Staff will solicit input from the community on the overall park design and desired amenities. Due to the location of the property, modifications to the storm drainage system is required. Kimley Horn’s services will include the property survey, soil analysis, engineering and construction support services. The design phase of the project is anticipated to take place from March to September 2021 followed by the construction phase from September 2021 to May 2022.
